Make Art Theatre
Make Art Theatre is an independent theatre company founded in, and based out of Hamilton Ontario.
Founded in 2010 with the idea of producing works we would want to see on stage we have evolved into a company that produces plays we believe our audience will enjoy. Plays to make you think and laugh; plays good for both the heart and mind.
We have produced new works at a variety of festivals to rave reviews receiving the Critics Choice Award for Romeo & Juliet an Escapist Comedy at the 2014 Hamilton Fringe Festival and Best in Fest for Much Ado About Nothing at the 2015 Hamilton Fringe Festival. We also recently did our first production at a school and are hoping to expand and bring more theatre to the youth of our region.
We believe in supporting local Hamilton theatre, by using local artists in our productions and producing plays written by local artists. We are a professional company committed to supporting the theatre artists of our community. We value and to listen to our staff, artists and especially our audiences. We know that our audience is what makes us who we are; and we love to hear your thoughts and feelings about our work. Our goal is to continue to grow and contribute meaningful work to the local theatre community.

Jody Sero - General Manager
Jody has been working in the background of Make Art Theatre since it's inception in 2010. Her name rarely appears anywhere but Ryan's bio; and she prefers it that way. She has done everything from stage managing to building costumes and putting together play bills. Her favourite role is acting as a sounding board for Ryan's new ideas (John Thompson Reads the Phone Book would have been a very different play without her input). She prefers to remain in the background as her stage fright is extreme and her organizational skills are better put to use elsewhere. She hopes to continue contributing to the growth of Make Art Theatre making into the company she and Ryan dream it to be.
